2010-2019

when kids started to mate and that, I tired of the SCA, and I traveled to hang out with unschoolers

I will fill this page in better, but very roughly, we all survived it.

I traveled to India, the UK (several times, mostly England, but Wales and Scotland more than once), France and the Netherlands (twice, both), Portugal. I went to Australia. I made my third trip to Canada (the only one that decade)l All of those trips involved visiting unschoolers I knew online, and most involved speaking to groups of those who were unschooling, or were curious about the possibility.

Photos of some of that can be seen at this link.
Traveling or not, I worked on web pages, wrote in discussions, and in September 2010, I started a daily mailing called Just Add Light and Stir, which continued nearly every day of the decade thereafter.

Kirby moved back from Texas with a girlfriend and her child (whom he later adopted) and then they bought a house, married, and had two more babies.

Marty had already married before Kirby returned, and at the end of the decade they had 1.5 children (living in our old house on Princess Jeanne)

Holly lived in various places, working restaurant and brewery jobs mostly. Socorro, Chama, EspaƱola, briefly Pilar, and Carson. Came back home a while, working sometimes three part-time jobs at a time, and house-sitting here and there. She was an attendant for my college-friend Mary Ann Beck for a while, and got a job at a farm.

Keith retired from Honeywell, did more SCA, had some surgeries (arm, shoulders), had a series of cardiac arrests (three in one day, March 3, 2019, and another a week and some after), but he survived it, against all imagined odds, and with the help of some quick CPR by some helpful nearby SCA-folk, and of Bela Harrington, then APD fire department (#2 cardiac arrest), then UNM's ICU (#3, that night) and some people with machinery on 5th floor, before they took him back to the ICU (#4).

He survived to continue to be a grandpa to Ivan (born in December 2017) and Kirby Athena (July 2018).

Tommy was born in October 2019, barely making it into that decade.

Wynona (who might be the last of our grandbabies) was in gestation, but still a future mystery.

2018, I posted (and saved on my blog) Ten Movies that Influenced Me. They ranged temporally from "Peter Pan" (the stage musical which was on TV annually in the 50s and early 60s) to "Secretly, Greatly" (Korean, 2013).
