Phrases being repeated

Repeated phrases

Where I first learned this concept, of repeated put-downs:

Sometimes a phrase is used because it's used, and it becomes a habit or a tool within a group.

When I was in labor with Kirby for 26 hours, three shifts of nurses and doctors came in during that time. I felt too tampered with, and wanted them to roll back the interventions, but two different people on two different shifts said "You don't want a dead baby, do you?" Same intonation.

I was asking questions, because I had taken the hospital's birth readiness course, and they had given us a book list. I had read half the books, and my questions were based on things I had read, but two different people on two different shifts, said "Where did *you* go to medical school?" in a dismissive and insulting way. Same intonation.

For the message to come up more than once meant I'm not the only one it had been said to.

More detail on one:

... because this question: Hormones of the "other gender"—where are they obtained? Are they natural hormones? How are they created, if not? Can most certainly be found on Google. I feel more like you were throwing out a "bait question" so you could literally just argue with people who see things differently than you. We all have to walk our own paths and do the best to raise OUR kids the way that we see fit to do that. We are not always going to agree on what that is. But to just throw out questions....that I REALLY don't think you honestly care to know the answers to is sad. Find something else to fill your time up with. OR if you truly have these questions fill up your time on Google.

Someone responded:

it’s not Sandra who has these questions. It’s many, many parents who haven’t been able to find answers. And no, google is not the answer.
First writer wrote:
"Google is the answer. Sure....there is a TON of info that isn't true on both ends. Just make sure you look to see who's article/studies that you are reading. ..." (link)

But perhaps it is not limited to outsiders. Here is a quote from a list of problems with the transgender "community":
Major time spent with group indoctrination and rituals and/or self indoctrination including the Internet (ex: “educate yourself shitlord” and having to constantly keep up because other members higher on the pyramid will not help you learn)
(#4 on a list [on a blog that's closed now])

Someone came and referred to the Transgender Questions group as a dumpster fire.

In a link left in that same topic, this appears: "what the dumpsterfire of queer/trans ideology is doing to girls and women "

This makes me think that "dumpsterfire" has been used more than twice, around this topic. Those two are here:

"Literally"

It was quoted twice above in the "google it" section, but I will pay more attention now since reading this example at The Trans Cult—Defining the Problem:

outright denial (”that literally never happens”)

Horrified

Hormonal therapies are so important during the early years and can save so much pain and heartache down the line. Not every child is ready to make that step But for those who are, who have been properly counseled, I am horrified people would withhold hormone blockers or hormonal therapy.
