Notes on Plagiarism of unschooling quotes

Someone claimed to claimed to have authored a quote going around anonymously. It was actually by Katrina Gutleben, and I wrote to several site owners to try to restore Katrina's rightful credit. Details

In 2009 the owner of a quotation site wrote:

Thanks Sandra, Funny but I googled the quote to be sure that I had the author correct, and MANY websites credit her. Based on that, I felt confident, I guess google is not always right. I own parenting a free child. I will look it up there too, because I am curious now.

I will remove the quote from our archives.

In 2013 when I started working on this page, I easily found half-a-dozen more recent quotes with the wrong name attached.

Someone published three books, a website and a facebook page filled with lifted but claimed ideas. Much has been retracted/withdrawn, but not quite all.

A little look at some possible plagiarism led to the discovery of a great deal of unquestionable plagiarism.
