My super fantastic internet search skills are failing me here--there are just too many sites to plow through, so I thought I'd ask the Oracle:

Anyone know of a Pokemon Pokedex site that has a sound feature? Specifically, a pronunciation guide along the lines of Merriam-Webster's online dictionary?

Any other favorite Pokemon sites you or your kiddos want to share for the budding Pokemon fan?

Cheers,
Brie (who is feeling very humble in the face of trying to pronounce Pokemon names!)

I asked Senna what sites she recommends; here are the best in her
opinion:

http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Main_Page

There are no specific pronunciation sites that she knows of. Pokemon
have Japanese and English names, so sometimes you can figure out
pronunciation of the English ones by looking at the Japanese. The
anime isn't always reliable as the dubbing can be inconsistent. Senna
says "just go with what you think it is" <g>.

Have fun!

My son LOVED this back when he was into pokemon.
And you can pick up the names of many of the pokemon as well.
