I'm sure that is some of the similarity, but if that womb environment was all there was to the difference than monozygotic twins and dizygotic twins should have similar commonalities. Turns out that dizygotic twins are about as alike as non-twinned full siblings. While monozygotic twins are markedly more alike than both dizygotic and non-twinned siblings.
