Anybody know about the PEAH card? I was looking at the Joann's
discount card and they are now requiring you to be a PEAH (Parents
Education at Home) member. You can get a Joann's access code for free,
but to really be a member it costs $19/year (on special). Meanwhile,
it looks like their online directory of other businesses is not yet up
and running, although they claim there are 150+ of them. Are there any
other businesses requiring this membership? Has anyone had any
experience with it? Check it out: www.PEAH.com

Yes. Our local group complained loudly about this. In Michigan you do not
have to go through PEAH to get a JoAnn's discount card. You can get one
right at your local store. Not sure if that is just Michigan or if it
applies everywhere.

PEAH will provide a free access number for Joann for any homeschooler
via this form:

http://www.peah.com/joann.php

and here's the page to apply for the discount, for anyone who needs the
addy:

http://about-joann-stores.joann.com/education/teachers.php

I used it, no difficulties. I'll let you know if there are any problems
getting my card.
