Hi Heidi
You have probably finished, by now, but DH finally
wrote an answer. I forwarded your question when you
asked it. DH is a mechanic, among other things. He
rebuilt my 1980 Bronco, when it had 150,000 miles on
it. It now has over 150,000 more.

Heidi Wordhouse-Dykema

Hi Corky and Sharon,
Really, Simple Green? I used the stuff in the house once and wasn't
impressed. Maybe it works better on engine oil! ...or it was several years
ago, so it might be a stronger formulation now. I'll see how it does.
I'm also looking at taking it to a car wash a few towns over where they
'steam' engines and undercarriages. More money, less *me* crawling around
in grease. The longer I spend under the truck, the more attractive that's
getting...
Thanks again,
Heidi
