Our knob is still there, but the thing it turns has gone goofy (again). So
I'm using an oven thermometer. If I have to bake, I kind of guess, and then
adjust. And because the knob goes all the way around instead of stopping
(there's a kind of bump, but I can't depend on it), the broiler isn't
dependable (and I think would melt my thermometer!)

We've had two oven/stove repairs in a year, over $200 total. It's a $600 gas
stove. I like it.

So rather than have another $100 visitation, we bought a $40 toaster oven and
that will be "broil" for a while.
