Subject: What is the status of your books? Date: September 10, 2013 4:44:04 PM MDT To: [two addresses] Chaley, I wasn't sure of your current e-mail address, so have used two I found. http://asktheshepherdess.wordpress.com/parentingeducation-articles/unschooling-inspired-thinking-or-educational-neglect/ Thank you for quoting me, and crediting me, in that article, and here: http://asktheshepherdess.wordpress.com/2013/01/21/can-anyone-explain-what-it-is-to-unschool/ and here: https://www.facebook.com/chaleyannscott/posts/284080291695677 While I'm glad you like my writing, someone pointed out to me some text lifted straight from my website, in one of your books. Looking at your facebook page and website, I find several things similarly lifted, but without any credit. You've even added too-personal details in some instances (" I have often thought ..." and "One of my clients... said") before quoting my site. Many of your borrowings, but not all, are my own words. I found plagiarism of Joyce Fetteroll, Pamela Corkey, Katherine Imes, and several uncredited/anonymous comments (I know the names of most of them, but left them off intentionally—clear that they were the exact words of a real person in a discussion I had been in). I'm sure if I look more closely, I'll find more. I would prefer not to need to do that. Have you taken one or two of your books off the market? Which are actually still available? I hadn't associated you with "The Pommies" account on Always Learning, so we have had more contact than I initially thought. I'm still very concerned about plagiarism and misrepresentation. I'm hoping you can propose a plan to remove some plagiarized material from your site and facebook page, or to credit it properly. Please respond within a week. I'd like to have things neatened up and peaceful as soon as possible. Thanks, Sandra I sent that, went to sleep, and awoke to find her site and facebook accounts deleted, but she didn't respond to the letter. Please respond about the status of your books. "Have you taken one or two of your books off the market? Which are actually still available?" I had asked this a week ago. Since I wrote on September 10, someone has sent me two of the books, and I've found a good number of quotes from my site without citation. Are these books available for sale?
The Shepherdess; A Guide to Mothering without Control Please respond within three days. I would like to give you a chance to make things right yourself, so that I won't need to contact publishers myself, but I have waited a week without a response from you Thank you, Sandra No response as of October 13, nearly a month later, but the books don't seem to be available.
