Self Portraits

Pictures from letters. I am still shocked and embarrassed that, thinking Mary Ann wrote me SO many letters I wouldn't have room to save them all, I cut the pictures out of lots of them in the late 1970's, and didn't keep all the chit chat (and envelopes, and dates). So I can't say for sure except for the one I wrote on at the time, Spring 1977. I I think the bicycle and rugby portraits might be fall 1975 or sometime in 1976.

I am glad I kept what I kept, though, and can share it.

These two were in different letters, but both were about feeling pressure, and look at the angles. :-) Nice. The letter she's holding says "Dear Sandra, If you think I am coming to visit you this semester, forget it."

Also, the elephant was on a full page (the "portrait" person is in the window of the building), and the other was smaller. The green writing is mine, at the time I saved just the art, from the letter.
