This list was first used for some meetings Balthazar and Adam had with some students and friends in 2004. I inherited the use of the list for a great series of discussions in the winter of 2006/2007, called "Duckford II." It started off as a chance for me to meet regularly with squires and one apprentice of Bohemond, Lavan and Artan. It expanded gradually over the months. Balthazar was there from the beginning to help me out, and I was grateful for the use of his materials from the earlier discussions.

The Duckford U list of virtues above is a version of an often-changing list we had made one night at dinner, of not just virtues but positive traits some of us could work on. It's good to see even those who are really trying to come to "the right list" of virtues can't agree on them.

There are two places where our nebulous list was listed. One is on the Duckford University page and the other was in an online discussion on virtues which has been edited and made available here.
