Tracy,
I have read a little on the Lotus Approch on a website. I think it was
Mangomama or something like that, if I find it I will share the correct
address.

I just finished reading "Raising your spirited Child" which was so good I
went and bought a copy. Plus, I am in the middle of reading "Television the
plug-in drug " which I really like, also. I just need my hubby to read it.
He is an addict to tv. Waiting in the wind, is "The Winning Family", "The
Magic of Encouragement", and "Home Educating with Confidence." These are, of
course, surrounded by my little ones tons of books we are reading everyday.

Well I had better run. Both littles ones are napping and I need to complete
something.....

Books being read ... currently, The Low Blood Sugar Handbook, and the
companion cookbook by Ed and Patricia Krimmel. Not as exciting as other
books, but timely for me as I recently discovered I have hypoglycemia, and I
am trying to cook food without sugar. I came across stevia, the herbal
sweetener, and have used it some with mixed results. I have also used some
fructose, and like it better, so far. Outside of that, I am combing over my
garden books! :)

Hi Julie!! I am so glad you like that book-- I know what you
mean about getting the hubby to read it!! :) I found that book to be so
enlightening. I still have trouble with my boys wanting the set on so much,
though. Are you limiting tv time during the day?
BTW, are you
still on the AP group?

Hi Deb, and welcome. Where about in So. Va. are you? I have family in
Radiant; is that anywhere close to you?

hey karen and all,
just a quick note before I take the dog for her last walk of the day, and put
my little one to bed.

I am proud to say that my daughter is down to 30 minutes a day of tv for her
show. Although it is still a fight, but getting better. However, my hubby
on the other hand is a different story.

(Karen, I am not still on the AP group to much mail)

I'm Hypoglycemic, but I never really looked into it. I just know that I have to eat regularly. Can you explain to me why cooking without sugar helps you?

What a great question! But before I answer are we
talking about what as adults are we reading or what as
parents are we reading with or too our children? I've
never read Anne Macffrey, any good?
Jill...always reading

Well, I got them for me to read, but have been reading out loud for a couple of paragraphs before boredom set in <g>  The Anne McCaffrey stuff is a little simplistic, and perhaps the language isn't as rich as it could be, but the people and planets and social systems she dreams up have grabbed me, and since I am used to her style (owning 10 or more, and reading many more from the library) it's very easy for me to finish a book in a day (or night :-) )  I started reading them when I was about 13.  (Gosh, half my life ago!!)  Some of the content is a little on the 'adult' side, so perhaps if reading aloud, they might need judicious 'editing.'  The David Gemmel is proving more challenging, but I find that often happens when one is reading something which is unfamiliar, harder to keep tabs on who is who and what's where.

The short answer would be 'well, I like it.'  <grin>

Well I've just read "the Talented Mr. Ripley"
excellent book. She has written 4 other books about
Ripley and I can't wait to read them! Have just
started "Out to Canaan" by Jan Karon author of the
Mitford series. If you haven't read these yet I highly
recommend them! Also just finished "Agatha Raisin and
the Witch of Wyckhadden" by M C Beaton, again a great
book, a mystery of sorts which I love! "Practical
Homeopathy" by Vinton McCabe, am rereading parts of"
The Celestine Prophecy", and finally "Savoring the
Day, recipes and remedies to enhance your natural
rhythms" by Judith Benn Hurley. I always seem to have
three or more books going at the same time as I love
to read! Thankfully my DD's are the same!
