My dh isn't quite old enough to have been waiting 95 years for this (LOL!),
but he's been waiting for about 20. He muffled his shouts of joy in a pillow
last night because Cole was asleep :) And he's a native Minnesotan.

SOX WIN, SOX WIN...I was watching the last few innings last nite!

Now, I'm a fair weather fan, lol. I like all sports but usually find it
boring to watch on TV, not the same as being there. So I only watch my teams and
the playoffs.

A match up between the Sox and Cubs, can that happen, for the World Series? (
yah, I am so well informed about baseball!) I hope it doesn't, too many
people to disappoint either way...But, Yankees can bite me, so.....( even tho I
lived for quite a few years in NY). GO SOX!! Until they play the Cubs, of
course!

YES!!! That was the most back and forth, moment to moment, unbelievably
tense game I've ever seen! And this from a woman who frowns at dh's
frequent need to watch sports. But it is the Red Sox and I grew up in
Boston and as much as they so frequently in the past have stomped on our
hearts by taking us to the brink and then just missing it.... I am tempted
to take my newly baseball-loving 6yo to Boston to watch a game at Fenway
(and just to be in Fenway is such an experience, so many great stories he
could hear from his grandfather about all the past Fenway moments...) w/
his uncle who has an extra ticket... but the 3yo would have to go along for
the veeeeery long ride so I have to just be happy we have TV . Go SOX!!!!!!!!

So were we :)

I usually don't make a point to watch sports on tv, but I enjoy watching
them if Cory is watching them. The playoffs are really exciting this year -
at least I think!

LOL! Yep, it could :)

I actually hope they do play each other. Talk about two teams that have been
waiting a looong time! I hope Jimmy Fallon does some skits with his Boston
character on SNL now that the Sox are this far. Cubbies all the way! My dh
plans to get a tattoo (his first) if they win it all.

I think so too, last nite, 11 innings! Cubs didn't even it up again, but did
you see that Sosa home run in the 9th??? HOLY SH*T, the people downstairs
prolly got mad at me I was screaming and jumping up and down!

I was relieved to see he's still on the show this year, everybody good keeps
leaving....and HE BETTER do the Sox fan thing, pronto!!

When Sosa came up to bat before that homerun, I thought "Wouldn't that be
nice?" Oh yeah! My dh said after that homerun that Sosa would be breaking
out of his slump. After tonight's game, you almost have to believe it :)

Oh yeah! I have a feeling there will be lots of Schwartzenegger skits, too.
