I think of homesteading living on a piece of fairly remote(ie. not with next-door neighbours too close) property.  It also brings to mind self-sufficiency and simplicity.  Does this corroborate with others' definitions?

LOL , as far as I know, stands for "laughs out loud"

What I would like to know is what DH and DD stand for?  I have seen that they usually mean husband or parter and Children, but I am clueless as to what they actually stand for,
Thought this was a good opportunity to finally clear this up!

What exactly is "homesteading"? I see it mentioned but don't know what it means. Also, what does LOL stand for?

Simplified living and back to basics are what you find that under if you
surf the web. I love the Back to Basics books and we are making a lot of
changes as we learn more. As soon as this house sells we are heading out
to the back of beyond.
