Hi!
Does anyone have any suggestions for humorous books to read? My kids are 6 yrs old. I am looking for chapter books.

Thanks!
Amie

The fantasy books by Edward Eager are pretty funny - I read some aloud to my 7 year old earlier this year. Some titles - Knight's Castle, Half Magic, Magic at the Lake...Leonie

My son really liked the humor in Half Magic when he was 7. It's not all
humor all the time, but has several funny parts and a funny attitude.
Plus magic.

Pippi Longstocking. They're funny. They're also unschooling.

Mine loved Captain Underpants. Of course, they love potty humor in
general, so may not apply to you and yours.

Hello,
I am a lurker but have decided to come out <G> to add some suggestions as
well.

My 11 yod loves funny books and goofy characters so I can heartly recommend
The Junie B. Jones series. We are currently starting at the beginning(again)
with book one and will probably run thru the complete series this summer.
She also enjoyed The Ramona series by Beverly Cleary. And don't forget the
Henry books by the same author.
And I must add the Pippi Longstocking books. I know there is more but my
mind is on "fuzzy-lazy-Sunday mode" right now.
Hope this helps

Melissa

Oh, my, a trip down memory lane there, I loved those books, can remember big
chunks of the stories, pictures, etc.

Oh, thank you for saying that, I'm gonna go to the library asap and get them.
