I got wimpy scores.

There were no women on the example list except Brenda Vaccaro, and I suspect
she wears men's underwear. Perhaps that means something. (No,
wait--Elizabeth Dole is there.)
They're suggesting I have traits in common with:
Abraham Maslow, psychologist and proponent of self-actualization
Ross Perot
Sean Connery
Francois Mitterand
Dick Van Dyke
Andy Griffith

Ross Perot and Sean Connery. There's a combination.

I would like to appeal the wording and intent of these. They're big "it
depends" situations.<g>

You consider the scientific approach to be the best

You know how to put every minute of your
time to good purpose

You are inclined to rely more on improvisation
than on careful planning

Strict observance of the established rules
is likely to prevent attaining a good outcome

I would suspect that your scores don't reflect "wimpiness". I think
they probably reflect balance. The test looks for personal
*preferences*. From what I know from reading your essays and this list,
I have the idea that you are fairly well in touch with both your judging
aspect (thinking v. feeling) as well as your perceptive aspect (sensing
v. intuition)...though I would've guessed your intuitive score to be
more strong...maybe that's just how you come across in this
forum...since it's about the *ideas* behind unschooling.

Susan....who is not offering professional opinions, just my own
personal insights and opinions. I believe Isabel Myers_briggs and I are
the same preference type, so it sort of explains why I enjoy this
evaluation.

Oh that makes it much better!
Thanks!

Balanced is way better than "wimpy."

Also, there are a TONNE of books to help us with this stuff, including one for kids called "Nurture by Nature." Helped me get a grip with my little people.

The other GREAT one is "Do what you are" for job hunters - absolutely rocks - wore it out at work coaching inventors and creatives (_NTP, _NFJ, NFP, _SFP)

Lots of good websites too. Google the letters + "temperament"

Tim and Maureen

Say you are very balanced, instead :O)))))

That "1" is cool - wish I lived there (for the work world at least.) Nice balance.

It's my experience "They" in the work world seem to prefer ESTJ's esp. the male work world. I'm working on either finding a job where ENFP works best, or, moving to a balanced place. Not sure which is easier.

So, NOT wimpy - balanced

LOL, I'll admit I missed some of these posts as I finallly had to decide I
was never gonna catch up. I finally took the test and some things were right on
target like the part about being a listener or a talker???? I was ROFLMAO, duh
I never shut up. I even talk in my sleep on the occasion I actually fall
asleep. Overall, I thought it was fun, but not exaxctly me. I think I was an ENPF
or ENFP or EPNF, well crap I don't even remember, LOL. That's an FMS thing
though, short term memory is often foggy. I can tell you what happened five
years ago, but don't bother asking me about 5 minutes ago.LMAO

Rhonda - the endless talker who happens to crack herself up
