"Is This Your Child, by Doris Rapp is one of the best IMHO. I've used it as
a reference for years.

Lisa,
I also have children with food allergies and I was able to come up
with great info simply by doing internet searches for food allergies. You
should also check out the Food allergy network's web sight. I'll look up the
address in a minute and send it along. FYI, this was just my personal
experience, but I wouldn't bother taking your baby to an allergist (if you
were thinking of that route). Ifound the allergy tests to be both painful
and inconclusive. dd #3 has had sevre reactions to eggs and nuts but skin
tests for both were neg. The allergist then went on to tell me that no test
is fool proof and we should treat her as though the tests were pos and that
the nut allergy should be treated as Life-Threatening. Ialready knew all
that before she was stuck with 8 needles. Oh well, live and learn.

Sorry Lisa, I think the last link I sent you is for respitory allergies.
Probably won't be much help. You could also try to find the book Tracking
Down Hidden Food Allergies (don't know the author off hand). It's an old
book ( probably out of print now), but you might be able to get it via the
library or a used book store. I also found LaLeche Leage to be a good source
of info and support.

Maureen Minchin's Food for Thought is LLL(GB)'s recommended read on the subject, don't know if you can get it over there though.

Can anyone recommend some good books to read about food allergies?  My baby
has just had two severe reactions to egg yolks!  I am wanting to learn all I
possibly can about this-possible causes, outgrowing it, allergy vs.
intolerance, foods to avoid, vaccines, etc.
