hi,

relaxing is really the key. your son's and your bond will do nothing but
deep if you take care of both your needs and his needs and try to not allow
your 'mother' and her deal to distract you from the truly loving
relationship you have with your son. the only needs that are important now
are yours and your sons. stay strong, enjoy your family (even if it's just
the 2 of you) and have as much fun as possible. one of our mottos is
'dessert first'. i've spent way too much of my life 'fixing' all the
things wrong with me now it's time to play:) i would recommend the same to
you:) just enjoy his wild antics as much as possible.

best wish

Amy,

Is it Maddie who lost her baby? I am on the UU list also and haven't had
any messages from there in days. Please let me know.

Thanks,

Bonnie

Amy,

You know, I didn't realize how much I counted on you guys as friends, but
getting news like this... I just broke down crying when I tried to tell my
husband. I will send something right away. By the way, I just
re-subscribed to the uua list so hopefully I will start getting emails from
them again.

Bonnie

Laura M

Hi Everyone,
My name is Laura. I am new to Unschooling-dotcom. I have a twelve-year-old
stepson who would be in the seventh grade in the fall. We have recently
decided to homeschool in September. He is very excited about this.
Normally I wouldn't even mention that he is my stepson instead of my
biological son, but I'm wondering how his mother is going to react to our
family's decision to homeschool. We have joint residential custody and in
the past she has been uninvolved in all aspects of our lives except
visitation. Is anyone else in a similar situation or do you know of one? I
also have a four-year-old daughter who is also homeschooled. She is very
excited that her brother will be home with her all of the time now.
Thank You,
Laura

Dachshunds! Eek, my dream dog! Some day I promise myself I will own a
dachshund, they are my absolute favorite breed. It will be pretty funny
looking because I'm 6' tall. How are they with children? ~Shelley

Tracy Oldfield

Fine, but they couldn't manage a whole one... Sorry (well, no I'm
not really) I couldn't resist <g>
