Mark & Kristin Shields

Jennifer,
It is really beautiful, though all of the resorts are down at the ocean. There are a few B & B's up here and the Kula Lodge. Other than that it's really quiet. Of course if you want to visit the volcano (Haleakala) you are a lot closer. It's definitely worth a visit some day! Kristin

My grandparents used to go to Maui every year and loved it. Although I
would terribly miss the cold, what you describe doesn't sound half bad! We
may have to plan a trip sometime!

I have an internet friend in HI and she complains of the sand incessantly.
The humidity, too, although we have more than our fair share in Texas. Not
quite as bad in north Texas as sdown in Houston, but it's bad enough!

Jennifer

The next time Brianna & I go to Texas - we'll have to meet up somewhere!

I love Texas
course I don't live there!
I do have a son there
and a few friends.

I'd love it!!! Wichita Falls is only an hour or so away, too, so we'd be
close!!! Come on down!

Well if you're going to visit Jennifer in TX, be sure to stop by Pensacola on
the way! We'd love to meet ya. We have a very tiny house, but Jared and
Jalens room has two single beds, perfect for company if you don't mind the
ratties sharing it with you. :)

Thanks so much!! Brianna & I are always ready to travel!! Well, we will be as soon as her tail bone and my spine is healed.

We didn't go to powwow this past weekend because of a number of reasons - including the back!!

We can't wait to get back on the road.

Hello all,

Are any of you on this list unschooling in Hawaii???
I've looked all over the web & can't seem to find anyone unschooling on the islands.
Give me a heads up if you are please... I have questions.

Thanks!

I am on Maui, but we are moving to the mainland pretty soon. I know
there was someone from Kauai and someone on the Big Island too. You
can email privately if you want.
