I'm in Pennsylvania, not new England, but my brother lives in Boston
and I know how to get there. (Well, I know how to park at a train
station near Boston and have my brother meet me there and help me
take the subway into Boston! lol) A conference near or in Boston just
might be do-able for us!

Personally, I would vote to have it somewhere other than Boston. Traffic, hotel rates, meal rates...all of that.

Oh, Julian and I went to the last one GWS did right as we started
homeschooling!

It was incredible! The workshops were wonderful, and the place was amazing.
Julian was just 8, and he had always pretty much been around an adult most of
the time all his life. There, however, he found things he wanted to do, and
met me at specific times. It was cool, because it felt safe to let him do
that, and he felt good. He spent one whole afternoon in a kayak, and fell in
love. Now he has his own, and it's still a passion.

What a cool conference that was!

I've many years experience as a promoter's rep. I still have the 'roadies bible' - listing all venues (granted there have been changes), hotels, everything one would need to produce & promote a concert - of any size. This information can be adapted.

I think around Boston - not in Boston - rates are way to high.

WE have all of NE to choose from.
Let's really take everything into consideration.
Providence is less expensive - venues, hotels, restaurants, everything

I second that one, way too busy and if a hotel is needed much to costly.

Cheap airport is an important consideration. A secondary airport where you
have to fly somewhere else first can be prohibitive. A place where people
have to pay big bucks to park a car (like San Francisco; I don't know what's
like that in the northeast) would be problematical.

Just a thought but there is Pease International Tradeport. It is
the old Air Force base and has loads of space and buildings. They do have an
Airline that fly's in there also. I think it is Delta. There are Hotels on
the base, a bus line, the Mall less than 3 minutes and it is not a busy
location at all.
The Highway runs right past the base. They are just beginning over the past
couple of years to add more businesses.

The Tradeport is about 20 minutes from Massachusetts on rt. 95.

suggest a place I knew of away from the city's.

Janis - we're in Groton on the shoreline close to RI.

Providence would be great IMO :-)

Providence has a main airport TF Green. While we live in CT we fly out of there all the time (it's closer to us than Hartford's Bradley).
