I know what you mean about those unusual children!!! My oldest is
one, and I am glad he stuck to his guns for as long as it took me to
catch on that he was ok, it was my expectations which were off
center! Cynthia Tobias' books really helped me to understand my
children better. They are simple with lots of references and names of
other books about learning styles. They are a lot of fun, too.
Whenever my 7 year old does something air-headed, my 14 year old
daughter looks at me and says, "Mom! He's being abstract again..."
