Did you use a good homeopath?
Because if you don't get results, it usually means you just got the wrong

I agree. Most people try homeopathy by going to the health food store
and use "combination remedies" (that is, standardized medicines for
'flu' or 'stomachache' or 'gas', etc.) and then complain they didn't
have good results with homeopathy. Combination remedies are good
business (a rip off, IMO) but if THE remedy you need (because you only
need one remedy at a time) is not in there, you won't see any results.

Other people self-prescribe with the help of a book. This works for
acute symptoms (colds, flus, teething, colic, accidents, etc.) if you
understand the basic principles of homeopathy and yo have a good book.
For all other ailments, of a more chronic nature (whether physical,
emotional or menatl), you do need the help and assessment of a
classically trained homeopath.

Just out of pure curiousity. How does one train to be a homeopath? Is it
more of a mentorship thing where you learn from other homeopaths? Sort of
like a passed down skill ?

There are schools and long distance courses of homeopathy (of course,
some better than others). Then you need clinical training with the
supervision of experienced homeopaths, and also to attend lectures and
seminars with respected homeopaths because there is where you learn
about approaching the case, long term management, and so on. Homeopahy
is not an easy practice. There are over 3000 remedies and you need to
know what you are looking for and what needs to be cured in a person
(the *core* or the *root* of the problem). That's why the experience of
other homeopaths (both personal and written) is absolutely invaluable.
And that's where you can also see the miraculous nature of it.

How does one become a "classically trained homeopath"? I think
homeopathy is fascinating and I'd like to learn more about it.

Thanks much,

Ren that was me.

Actually I didn't use a homeopath at all. Was doing the research myself and
using the lady at the health food store, who actually seemed quite
knowledgable and helpful. It's just that the kids were all so miserable and
weren't finding any relief at all after 2-3 days and I got frustrated. It's
hard to find a homeopath around, I actually have one to choose from nearby
and then the kids insurance isn't covered by it and well I just got
impatient.

I was also a little disappointed as I have been spending a fortune on
colloidal silver to keep everyone well and it didn't work at all. I know
it's not the same but I was upset by it all snowballing at once.

To learn about homeopathy, this is a good start:

bad). Then you need clinical training (with a homeopath - supervisor)
and also to attend seminars and lectures with respected homeopaths to
learn from their clinical experience, which is invaluable.

In Britian you do a four year course with the Royal College of
Homeopaths. I wanted to start it but just as I recieved a place on
the course I started to home-educate and didn't want to split myself
when just starting on that adventure.
Then we moved here.
We've got homeopathic hospitals as part of the National Health
Service so its all free.
