Um, I'm around 5'9" and I weigh 118 lbs.
I have never been on a diet and I eat what I want.
Although, I don't eat meat (because I don't want to).
I would say I'm a relatively healthy person - I rarely get sick.
I enjoy physical activity and doing stuff like hiking up the mountains
around here.
Anyway, I've been thin all my life, I guess it's my metabolism.
Even after I gained 50 lbs. with my first pregnancy, within a few months I
was down to my normal weight.
115 - 118 lbs. is normal for me and my organs seem to be doing just fine
with my current fat cushion, thank you very much. ;-)

I'm 5'1" and I weigh about 132 lbs...don't know for certain as it has been
sometime since I weighed myself. Fact is, I don't, in general, care. In
any case, I am usually thought of as slim, and when I checked on some diet
site that would give me the perfect diet for me, I was told, there is a
problem, you aren't overweight.

Looks are really a matter of proportion rather than health. I have been
blessed, cursed, what have you with the hour glass figure, and my thighs and
butt takes the weight.

What is more important is how one feels and physically, how one is able to
get on with the day to day tasks. I don't feel good when I weight less than
118, and if I went down to 125 that would be fine too....

As to MIL comments, that lass is short a few. I feel sorry for the gal that
she can't see herself or anyone else in any terms except those of size...

be well,
Rachel Ann

Yes, but Shyrley was describing a 5'10" person at 70 lbs.!!!
I don't think many people at that height are going to be much under 135 and
be healthy...that's all. Obviously there are exceptions.
And you are VERY think Karin!!

Wow Karin, you and I will have to get together and compare sometime, I'm also 5' 9" and if I get under 160, people tell me to put on some weight.

I had a hard time growing up with weighing so much, everyone is built so differently. Needless to say I was an awesome offensive linesperson on my college flag football team. Aargh!!

I so agree Rachel Ann, I don't have a scale anymore and I think I actually got healthier that way!

Speaking of thinness, is anyone else sick of seeing the e-diets ad!!!!!!! I hate the one with the heavier lady shriveling up.

That kind-of thing is what really bent my mind when I was a teenager. I thought I needed to look like those models,

Kelli, who hates diets and is working very hard on raising her daughters to not worry about size and weight and to focus on being healthy and happy.
