Yes, we used tape and I was thinking I wanted to try staples next time!!
Maybe we'll just stick with tape.
I used the tape because no one could find the stapler and we needed to put it
together "right now" according to dd.

Good thing dd wanted it down right away. Staples did not work for us! I'm
glad to hear that tape did!

+Here's another web site that seems to do it a bit differently but still
looks easy enough. I will be saving our Sunday paper.

After working on this thing all week in our "spare" time, and two rolls of
masking tape, it's finally up. Why didn't anyone say how big this thing
would be??!!! It's taking up a good amount of space in our playroom and I
must say is looking pretty cool. The kids really helped out a lot and they
are loving it. My husband and oldest daughter think we're nuts!! We figure
when they get tired of it the way it is, we'll start to cover it with
newspapers and make a tent. Just wondering how long this thing will hold up.
My two year old thinks it's a jungle gym!!!

Is it strong enough to support a 2 yo? (I am guessing at a weight of less
than 25-30 lbs?) And just how big is it?

Actually it isn't strong enough for her, that's our problem!!! LOL! She's 24
lbs. and thinks she can hang onto the "bars" when getting in and out. That's
why we're falling apart already. That and of course our 16 year old has been
in it and me and my husband too. Doesn't help crawling our big butts inside!
It's about 7ft by 5 ft. and we have to squeeze by it in the playroom what
with all the other stuff, bean bag chairs and the table and all. And as I
write, Joseph and Sierra are having a blast tearing it down. They enjoyed it
for a couple of days but it's needing to be reinforced to often and it has
put a damper on their play space. Definitely a fun project though. If we had
more open room for it and maybe less baby activity, I'm sure it would have
held up better. Not bad for first timers though!!!

Cool! Maybe building a new one out of PVC (?) pipes next time? Then you could
set it up in the backyard? Or make it in a different shape to fit into the
playroom?

As soon as my husband saw the finished product, he commented on making one
outside that would be permanent. I rolled my eyes because he has no time at
all left to such things. BUT, when someone sent the website with plans for a
permanent one, I saved it and showed it to him. He said thanks but with a
very sarcastic tone! <BG>
