B-12?
Tell me what plants provide that?

Hi, Ren! That's a great point about B12. It turns out that nutritional
yeast (T-6635) is an excellent and tasty source of vitamin B12 for
vegans. Here's a link to a good article about the need for vitamin B12 in
vegans:

Warmly,

Marji

Ren, why don't you just say what you mean! = )
I just love reading your posts because you never pussy foot around. I
might have a small crush on you but I won't tell anyone.

We use a lot of nutritional yeast, which among other things is high in
B12. Adults need 2.4? micrograms daily so that's not much and can be
provided by 1 TBS of nutritional yeast. This yeast is grown on molasses,
(mole asses?) Oh dear.

These day's lots of cereal products and soy based foods are fortified
with B12.
Or you could just go the old fashioned way and eat 30 cups of spinach
every day! Some plants do provide B12 but not in any significant amount,
you're right.

Does being vegan mean you can't take supplements?

Holey MOLEY!
You people are odd.

If b-12 doesn't exist in nature why do we think we need it?

Is a vegan diet natural with any naturally existing group of humans on his
planet?

Is Boeing the one with the pink flowers? I think Northrup provides more iron
though.
I don't know what they did to you in Texas, but you really are a smart@ss

You noticed?

Well, because Ren said so...

Good question! Probably not. They just recently had to make up a good
name for it. Before that we were just called malnourished. <G> It's
partly a soothing (psychological) poultice for big moral owies and partly
social experiment. Maybe. But totally unnatural. In a hippie kinda way.

Clearly people who would drive five miles out of their way to get to the
health food store to buy tofu wienies are WAY more sane and reasonable
and environmentally aware than the rest of you.<G>

Yes. Then it was worth it. <g>
I sent the three responses to my husband, my consultant at Honeywell (and I
do expect someone to let me know for sure who DID manufacture them... <g>).
