As far as I understand the Ct law, you don't HAVE to send in a letter of
intent but you can voluntarily do so to comply with the school board. I
don't see it as law though. Of course it is for the school board. I
personally only do what the state law requires.

Thank you so much. I clicked the link I think Lisa (sorry if that's wrong)
sent and it said CT is just suggested. Whew! I sent it anyway, the letters,
more out of courtesy, return receipt requested too. Tomorrows the boy's last
day of school! Monday we'll start.

Thanks, all for your support, in this crazy time for me!

What's happening Saturday?
What will "start" Monday?

[email protected]

Sorry, Sandra. Tomorrow is my son, Andrew's, last day of elementary school,
or jail as we call it. ; ) Just kidding. I'm letting school go til Monday,
when we will begin our first day of homeschooling. We're all very excited!

Well...
;-)
what we mean is you HAVE started. (years and years ago)
He will be learning from whatever he does on Saturday as much as from
whatever he does on Monday, Hon!
Every day is a 'school' day- NO day is a 'school' day.

You have nothing to 'start' on Monday. In fact, you should just sleep
real late and then go out to breakfast. I think waffles are in order...
In fact, I think TODAY should be his last day and you should go out and
have waffles for dinner now!

Love, Judy

Hi, Fiona --

I think the point Sandra was hinting at is that for most unschooling
families, everyday is like Saturday. We never have a Monday that is
like a school day.

PS (Who recorded that song with the chorus "Tell me why? I don't like Mondays!")

melly~

I think I'm gonna like it here. : )

Hey Judy, I LOVE YOU! You are so right - every day is a school day and I have
been teaching him since he was in the womb. Waffles it is! Thanks!

Yup, you are right Betsy. I stand corrected. Now if I could just wipe this
grin off my face...
