Do you call your husband Keith to the kids? That doesn't make sense. I'll try
again. I call Darin, Darin when I am talking to him, but if I am talking to
the children about Darin, I call him Dad or Daddy. Do you do the same? Or do
you call him Keith even when you are talking to the kids? Do your kids call
you and Keith, Sandra and Keith, or Mom and Dad?

Our kids sometimes (when talking to each other) call us 'parents'.<g> As
in, "Maybe we should go help parents". Doesn't bother me (too much) because
more times than not they call us mommy and daddy :-)

Mom and Dad.

But when I sign e-mail to them, or notes, I write "Sandra" instead of Mom,
almost always.

I haven't read most of three days worth of mail because I fell and sprained
my ankle really badly, so I can't sit up more than fifteen minutes or so
without it hurting. But I thought to sample a few threads I didn't know what
might be about, and found my own name! <g>

We have friends who call parents first names.

We have friends' kids who call me SandraDodd like it's all one word.

When other kids are around, and they refer to me by name, my daughter
interrupts and says "his name is <my full name> Daddy!"

I hope your ankle feels better soon!

I always wonder about things like this! <g> Sometimes my kids call Darin and
I, Darin or Nancy, especially Jack. It doesn't bother me, but Darin always
says "I am Dad," or something like that. Jack also calls me Meme, I don't
know why, or where he got the name, but it is cute. It is his snuggle name
for me.

My daughter calls me "Robyn" most of the time, and she calls my dh
"Honey" which is very cute. When referring to us with others she says
"my daddy" or "my mommy". She is almost 3.
