WOW! I just did! And I heartily suggest many here try the list out. There is
one discussion going on right now that many here would be very interested in
as it is about them!!! The thread is titled "Structure" and "words and
definitions". It's all archieved.
Absolutely fascinating discussion. What was particularly interesting to me
was the failure of the listmembers to observe the very rules of Netiquette
that I was recently given such a hard time about violating on this list, by
them!

And it would be inappropriate to compound any Netiquete errors by responding
in kind.

This discussion won't help anyone understand unschooling better nor help to
build a sense of community.

I can't agree with this. There are people here who are sabatoging any
attempt to create a sense of community by the list members. Purposely.
Why?

There are people who are angry on all sides of all issues. We all see things
differently and interpret things differently.

*Build* the community. *Don't* spend energy pointing out who doesn't appear
to be building. The responsiblity of building or tearing depends on what
*you* choose to send.

Let me judge and handle what is harming the building. Just because something
doesn't get said on the list doesn't mean it's not being handled.

You are right Joyce. and I don't know what is and isn't being addressed, I
just get angry when people who are here for the reason of being helpful get
maligned.

The folks having those discussions did not give you a bad time about
Netiquette. That would be me. And, obviously I was correct in my
estimation. Only now it isn't just about Netiquette, it is about TROLLLING!

Lynda,
I have asked you privately, (not even 5 minutes ago) and will now do so
publicly. Please do not directly communicate with me again.

The implication here is that I have communicated with you privately on more
than one occasion. Not so, as you know. I cc'd a post about your trolling
and that was the extent of it.

Try to accurately convey what has happened and not play anymore of these
little games. This list is about unschooling not your trollling practices.

End this now.

This is juvenile and damaging to the list and yourselves as well as
diminishing any respect you expect others to have for anything you say in
the future.

I don't think Elissa has done anything evil.

Lynda is being as usual, and Elissa is pointing it out.

"Community" shouldn't require people being bullied by Lynda in public and
private.

This is totally inappropriate to be brought to the list. If something isn't
about helping someone understand unschooling better please don't send it to
the list. (And I won't even mention the community part.)

If *anyone* has problems with how the list is being moderated, eg, I've
responded inappropriately or inadequately, *please* for the sake of the
peace of the list, bring your concerns to me, not to the list. If I can't
resolve it then please write to Helen. (I blind copy all correspondence to
the moderators list where Helen does read.)
