I'm just wonder what the significance of your call-
sign, "RumpleTeaserMom" is? It's almost as good as Life-is-good
Mary's!!

rumpleteasermom

Rumpleteaser is a cat in T.S.Elliots Book of Practical Cats. Jenni
chose Jennyanydots for here screen name which is another of his cats.
She actually suggested Rumpleteaser for me since is was taken we
added mom to the end (we set our accounts up on the same day.)

It's the book the musical Cats is based on. So you might want to rent the
video too. It's interesting to see what they changed and speculate why they
did. :-)

Speaking of cats......and try to bear with me on being a bit behind :-)
...... what's the story behind jellicle cats?? There's a song in a musical
(is it cats?) the talks about jellicle songs for jellicle cats. DDs love
the song which we heard on a library CD with children in musicals, but
can't seem to find it lately.

We have "Cats" on video, and my kids love it. Esp. my 5 and 2yo.
I got it off of e bay.
In the song, they describe what a jelical cat is. I can't remember
all the criteria. There are also, Gumby cats. I think it's all made
up for the musical and not applied to real life cats. But I could be
wrong.

I'm not sure what you're not finding, but the Jellicle cat song is from the
Cats musical and readily available on CD (and VHS and DVD and books and ...
;-)

And if you type "jellicle cat" into http://www.google.com you'll get some
related webpages :-)

Jellicle Cats come out tonight . . .

You might be interested in TS Elliot's Book of Practical Cats. It'a a
book of cat poems that formed the basis for the musical Cats.

Thanks, Joyce!
I'm sure that's it. It was part of a 'variety' CD we'd gotten. ANd
being 'uncultivated', I suppose, I have somehow managed to never see Cats
in any form....live, movie, etc. I'll chack it out on DVD soon.
Susan, adding Cats to library list.

Thanks! I'll add that to the library list, too!

Alas, it was checked out from our library this week! And I couldn't find
"practical Cats" either!
