Feeling out a reality check for myself. I need to do this every once
in a while when things feel a bit chaotic. Anyone have any good,
bad, and ugle experiences to share....(this helps me to know that I
am not alone). Sometimes it takes some truth bearing, humbleness,
and risk but I find all those good for the spirit. Here goes mine....

Good - kids choosing to go back to PS after 3 years, only staying
approximately 4 months and choosing to return home (my daughter made
the decision too).

Bad - When I want to kill them both out of my own issues of
frustration, exhaustion, or control.

Ugly - When they want to kill each other. Son 13, daughter 11 -
amazing how the "he touched me" and "she breathed on me" never really
goes away it just seems to get more sophisticated with age. Words
may change but the general intent of their message reamins the same.

Just taking stock in my attempts to remain sain and real...Kama

OK
first I havent introduced myself properly yet so until then I setup a
website when i homeschooled before www.geocities.com/mom_homeschooler
The page has not been updated yet but does give some background.

GOOD:
the sense of accomplishment when we learned someting together LOL

BAD:
Costs, I remeber someone telling me that I must have saved money when I
homeschooled.

UGLY:
Other parentst actaully get defensive and hositle when my answer to thier
question as to why I homeschooled was I feel I am his best teacher.

Kama, I'll try to do this.
Good-The children are learning to express themselves and think for
themselves, I am learning to listen and change from my old controlling
ways.
Bad-I worry sometimes about are they really learning enough for passing
state tests, am I introducing them to enough subjects that interest them,
are they missing out on some big mysterious whatever.
Ugly-Bill collectors call since I'm not working anymore and my husband's
business is slow, I don't have money as I want to spend on music lessons
and sports activities.
Good-Thinking of doing some housework for people for some cash,
self-teaching music books, free sports through public schools, husband
used to be a coach and has become more involved in teaching.
Bad-Grandpa gives 14y.o. d.s. a hassle for being homeschooled.
Ugly-Learning new ways of communicating with the children puts me at odds
with authoritarian-style husband.
