Hmm, sounds like someone else thinks the point of these discussions is to
"score", not to learn and share.

Of course there are all kinds of unschoolers. There are unschoolers who
read at 3 and those who read at 16. There are unschoolers who are totally
into computers, and those who prefer to spend 99% of their time outdoors.
There are even those who chose to sit down and do 3 lessons out of Saxon
math every day. What they have in common is that they are in complete
control of their own learning, just as what vegetarians have in common is
that they eat no animal flesh (and I've never heard poeple who eat only
fish described as vegetarian, but perhaps that's one for the veggie lists
to debate).

A little off topic but yes, there are people who call themselves vegetarians who eat fish.
They are called pesco-vegetarians.
My sister has recently started eating this way after being vegetarian for 15 years, and I am considering it also having been a vegetarian for many years.
We have been questioning surmounting reports on the dangers of eating soy products.

Well, shakes of Ms. Cleo, now she knows what other folks are thinking. And,
speaking of keeping score, seems to come up frequently as a concern in
*your* posts, so perhaps the only person doing so is you.

Just out of curiousity - what dangers?

Bridget

ps - I don't eat the stuff because it makes me sick - almost but not
quite the same symptoms as with other foods I am allergic to.

I'd like to know too - I've been working on ways to get more
soy into my diet!
