Oh my... the Pope is Pagan, and all elected officials are members of the
Illuminati...God hears no prayer from an unbeliever except repentence...The
Promise Keepers support the work of Satan... Wow....

It strikes me that it must be VERY hard to live in the world if you have
believe that Satan is around every corner ready to destroy you and your
children--even those that allegedly have the same beliefs as you!

A woman on another list I know said that she tells her children (3 and 5)
that if they don't explicitly follow the Bible that they will go to hell, and
that she would never see them again because she will be with God in heaven.
And God wouldn't want her to be sad that her children were in hell, so he'd
take away all her memories of them, too.

Has anyone here seen the movie Dogma? I keep thinking about the Apostle who
said it was better to have an idea than a belief.

To any Christians on the list--PLEASE understand that I do not intend this to
be offensive. I have read the Bible and I personally do not believe it
supports these kinds of ideas. Nowhere in the Bible is the Illuminati
mentioned, nor threatening your children. Jesus is supposed to be about love
and peace. I worry what's being done in his name.

...and just to clarify, I also do not support the ideas found on that link. I only supplied the link because it had the quoted text from GW himself concerning being 'born again'.

I am with you Kathryn. And I also think that a belief system that cannot
stand up to scrutiny is not a very secure one. Jesus didnt mind people
asking Him questions and He was very patient and answered them. Sometimes, he
answered their questions with a question to get them to think critically and
see the answer themselves.........hey, maybe he was the first unschooler! LOL

I am a Christian and I share that worry. I also read the article and was
disgusted by it. It is not our job (meaning the christian community as a
whole) to judge others' relationship with the Lord. If they are not true,
life has it's way of revealing this. I don't believe the bible tells us to
be so suspicious and judgemental. The woman you speak of is leaving no room
for the grace of God. There is no way she has obeyed everything in the bible
either and to terrify her children like that is scary.

I can tell you that most Child and family services would feel the same way
too. That is mental and emotional abuse.
