Loved your description of your day. Would you be able to take the time to
send me the clay recipe? I've made so many recipes that turn out yucky.
From your description yours works very well!

Does anyone have a link(s) to bird tracking charts?
Especially the northeast U.S.. Any info for this would
be greatly appreciated. I bought a neat chart at the
store yesterday and the boys are all about birds
today.

This recipe hasn't failed us yet and we've used it for years:

1 cup flour
1/2 cup salt
1 cup cold water
2 tbs. cream of tartar
1 tbs. vegetable oil
Food coloring

Combine all ingredients except food coloring in med. sauce pan. Heat
on low and continue to stir until firm (about 5 mins.) When done,
separate into bowls (for making different colors), add food coloring,
and knead into desired colors. FYI...there's normally directions on
the food coloring for different colors and we sometimes use these but
cut the number of drops in half.

Happy claymaking!!!

I'm pleased to see so many others who's days our similiar to ours and
am interested in hearing more about what everyone's doing all day out
there!

You just missed the annual Great Backyard Bird Count but you can get there at:

www.birdsource.org

and they might have some other stuff that would be helpful.

I don't know if these sites have anything you need, but here's one on bird
migration that has current information:
http://www.learner.org/jnorth/
You could call Mass. Audubon and see what they have.
http://www.massaudubon.org/
And the National Audubon website:
http://www.audubon.org/bird/
Here's the Peterson Field Guide site:
http://www.petersononline.com/
Here's a site about common birds:
http://www.interbrief.com/fiftybirds/
This is kind of neat. I just found it.
http://www.massbird.org/
That's all for now. I have a pair of binoculars by the back door at this
time of year for bird watching!

Thank you all so much for the bird info. This list can
be better than any search engine.
