Hello!
I live in Toledo and we are planning a move to Michigan soon. I would like
to find a homeschooling list on yahoogroups for Michigan, but can't access
the website so I'll have to sub by email. Does anyone know of any MI lists or
could some kind soul look some up for me? (Not necssarily unschooling, just
homeschool in general would do)
Thanks in advance!!

If you can get to any websites at all, this one has lots of Michigan links.
If you see one you really like here, but you cannot get to the page (and if
someone from Michigan hasn't already hooked you up), write to me on the side
and I'll go back in there and see how you can directly subscribe.

The Mowery Family

Hi Amy,

What county are you moving too?  We live in Eastpointe which is Macomb county.  If you look at the palm of your right hand, we are at the bottom thumb knuckle <g>.  Our city borders Detroit - we "eastsiders" love this part of town, low traffic, excellent freeway system, all in all nice folk*s*.  Better than the other suburbs of Motown - horrible traffic, not "as" nice folks.

Anywho - I am involved in a group called Michigan-MacombCountyHomeschoolers.  We have an email loop on yahoogroups.  We do great stuff, bowl once a week, have parties, go to the youththeatre, museums, parkdays, you name it.  There is only one other unschooling family in the group - but the other families (approx 20) are very welcoming and supportive.  Let me know where you are moving too, and hopefully we can come up with some contacts.

Karen Mowery

PS. did you all look at your right palms to see where we live?  LOL
