My son really likes software titles with themes more than the Reader Rabbit
types. Microsoft put out an "Exploration Series" for example that includes
"World of Flight", "Oceans", "Dangerous Creatures", "Dinosaurs", and
"Musical Instruments" among others. They're out of print, but you can
usually pick them up on Ebay for around $5 or so.

I'm coming in a little late on this, but my son is currently
enjoying "Gizmos & Gadgets", "The Incredible Machine", and "Pinball
Science". I like the DK program "I Love Science".

We have this set & the kids love them, they can get lost for hours if I
don't watch them. DS 4 & 2 will do what they can & then they're willing to
let dd help them.
