Hi Tracy, I checked in the book, "Eating Well for Optimum Health" by Dr
Andrew Weil, on Immune deficiency. His recommendations are: Eat plenty of
organically grown fruits and vegetables; eat immune-enhancing mushrooms,
like: shiitake, enokidake, maitake, and oyster; follow the recommendations
about fats under cancer prevention, which are- avoid poly unsaturated veg.
oils, margarines, shortening, and all partially hydrogenated oils, and foods
that have trans fatty acids, like deep fried foods. Increase omega-3 fatty
acids, reduce animal foods, eat only meats that are organic and hormone free
if possible, and drink green tea regularly. I hope this can be helpful.

Tracy,
Hi I'm Jolene. New here. But I study alot or nutritutional info, have had
all 4 home-birthed, & have a spec. needs child.
I found Bovine Colostrum to be the best along w/ its' sister product
called Cytolog.
I'll send all the links I have.
We live in IL, where all the agricultural toxicity is, not to mention the
mega powerlines :o(
We moved here 5 years ago Sept, as my hubby is a minister. My 3 ( I was
carrying the 4th) immediately got every sniffle & bug to come around &
then some. I definately was not used to this. I stared putting Eucalyptus
oil in my humidifier (germs don't llike moist air, only dry) & others.
This helped to purify the air. Then I started using MSM, then the
Symbiotic'c colostrum. Kaiyah, my spec needs, used to get sick about
4 Xs a year. It's been 2 yeras & only 1 sickness.
I know it sounds yuck but it has amde a world of difference in our
home!!!

I don't know about "The" herbal remedy, but I use garlic, parsley, echinacea
and goldenseal.

Tracy:

Barberry; Basil; Boneset; Chamomile; Echinacea; Ginger; Ginseng;
Goldenseal; Gotu Kola; Licorice; Marsh mallow; Mistletoe; St. John's
Wort

Be careful using Licorice, as it can cause problems with blood pressure and
headaches; Mistletoe can slow heart rate; St. John's Wort is an MAO
inhibitor and can interact with certain foods and other drugs. Make sure you
read all labels before using!

Tracy, you may want to try 2 teaspoons of honey and 2 teaspoons of apple
cider vinegar in a cup of hot water. At first it smells like Easter, but it
tastes good and it is very good for you.
