For the benefit of of some of the new and enthusiastic list members, I
wanted to say that this is probably the quietest time of year for homeschooling
discussions of any kind. Those who might want to homeschool next year aren't
feeling the pressure yet. Those who are thinking of changing to unschooling
from a more structured kind of homeschooling were planning to have the summer
"off" anyway, and will ask "when school starts."

I haven't tracked it really closely, but there seems to be a surge in late
summer, and then (for unschooling, at least) around October and November, when
people have tried school again and quit in disgust, or bought a curriculum
and kids and mom all are in tears about it all. Then it's kinda constant until
spring again, when it slacks off.

Glad you posted this. I was beginning to think maybe my cyber-deodorant was
not working :-)

Tami, who is busy dealing with potty learning, teething, and a husband who
brought back a most bizarre flu bug as a souvenir from Thailand. Sometimes
life is a challenge!

And we're all out *doing* stuff, enjoying the wonderful weather. I almost
missed the finales of two of my favorite shows, just because it was spring!
