My son just got an X-Box for his birthday and we really do not know  most fo the games.
We have been big Nintendo fans and he loves Mario, Zelda and Sonic.
He will be 8 years old.
Can you suggest games he may like so we could rent on GameFly and try them out??
Thanks.
OH and if you want to be his friend please send your info and I will add to his friends list ( is that how it works??)
I think his handle is Mega Blue Dragon.

Easy, who is 7 loves his x-box. He likes games that are like puzzles
and have building or design aspects to them.

Halo 3 is a long puzzle (where you kill aliens) it also includes a
forge area that is for creating your own forts and playing against a
friend irl or live.
Halo one is a favorite also.

Saints Row 2 is another game that is multi-faceted it includes meeting
challenges and designing both your character and automobiles.

Assasins Creed and Fallout 3 are some newer games he is enjoying.

Some other young friends enjoy the Lego Indiana jones but Easy finds
them to easy and too straight forward.

Faith

He does not have a live account right now.

My son is 6.5. We love the Lego games; Star Wars TCS is great, and Lego
Indiana Jones has a pretty cool level builder. My son loves fighting games,
and he enjoys Soul Caliber 4 and Super Street Fighter 4 and Lord of the
Rings. We also like Left 4 Dead and Halo 3 quite a bit. Castle Crashers is
a downloadable game from xbox live that we like a lot too.

My son's screen name is LegoTaipan - he'd love to have another xbox live
friend.

Thanks Faith. Halo is the one MD likes. We got Halo OSsomething wiht the bundle and i will
be getting him Halo3.
He also like puzzles games.
I will try those other ones.
How does one play with friends on Live and can we add Easy ( MD is going to be 8 this coming week)?
We got Lego Indiana Jones and Star Wars for the Wii.
He rarely if ever plays them.
MD also LOVES Roblox and likes Maple Story so any games like that would be great.

Halo ODST is what we actually have, but it includes Halo 3, so no need to
get it separately.

Simon's name is beserk 566 and Linnaea is vampire616 (Simon and I aren't sure about the spacing) I absolutely agree with the Halo recomendations. Linnaea loved Fable II.

Oh, you have to have an xbox gold account to play games with friends. I don't know what it costs in the U.S. You go to account and add friends from there.

In the US: The one year card is 50$ - which is a great deal on it's own -
AND if you're near a costco, you can pick one up for just under 40$ :)

Amazon.com often has the 12-month card (13 incl. the trial month) for ~ $35. Sometimes, though, it's full price - I don't know why it changes!

Evan & Seth's info is in the database of the Unschooling Gamers list - a couple of times, Seth has posted there that he wanted to play right then, and folks have joined in! He used to play with Linnaea a good bit, but he hasn't been on for a while, he goes through phases.

Yep ! I just had to re-send it. I did not write down that I was an uschooler so it automatically denied me and the letter said it was final.
SO I took it as  I could not apply anymore when all I needed to do is apply again and that time make sure I wrote down I was an unschooler!
