There was what appears to be a child abduction there Tuesday, a little
boy, 11, riding home from some event on his bicycle, never arrived.
Although Great Falls has recently been in the news because a suspected
serial killer, whose victims were also children, this kind of news in
Montana is uncommon.

Thanks. My eye is OK. :-) Just looked surreal with
the pencil sticking out of my head. Sort of
disorienting to the teacher.

I remember walking all over the place when I was little. I was out alone
any time I wasn't in school. I remember jumping in the backs of trucks
with people I didn't know if I'd walked out the old cemetery road to pick
apples, and they would drop me at my corner and I would wander on home.

I hold my breath when Dylan walks the four blocks to the library, and we
live in a small town where the biggest crime is maybe a bar fight, or
illegal fireworks.
