Hi to this nice group, starting new daycare important question
Alicia Camarillo
Hi all.
I am just starting a new bilingual (Spanish-English) daycare n NW Rochester. I am starting to interview families and one of them has shared with me that their one an a half year old son bites other children when he feels threatened. I want to be prepared to deal with it in case it happens, even though I am planning on being present as much as I can. Any ideas, suggestions, thing that you have done that had worked will be appreciated. I am new in this group so my apologies if this topic has been covered.
Thank you so much!

Are you unschooling your own child or children, and adding daycare to the mix?
I hesitated about approving this, as the question is not about unschooling. You should probably ask in discussions of daycare providers. There might be a legal issue.

There will be a moral issue if you take a child that young and don't intend to be with him all the time, I think. And if you don't let other parents know of the potential problem.

If it was discussed here, though, it would have been about a child whose mom was there with him, not one who had been left elsewhere where he might be afraid. The dynamics won't be the same if you're unschooling your children, and have children from more than one family there, and you can't make sure they're all safe.
It's not easy, but I don't see the unschooling aspect of your question.

This is not an unschooling pre-school but if I needed to send my kids somewhere I think I would love if something likes this was available:
This is Bev Bos who has a preschool based on play and it all sounds pretty cool. I actually love the many ideas and creativity in her place. Something many of us can provide at home in creating a fun home for our kids exploration.
