That must just mean there isn't one on the internet, if google couldn't find
it. (I looked too... very frustrating.)

Anyone here know what that gummi-bear kind of recipe is called generically or
where there might be a from-scratch recipe (not a kit)?

I'm pretty sure there's a recipe for gummi candy on
childrensrecipes.com. I tried to got there to check,
but their site's being updated and isn't available.
Might be worth a look later, though ...

By the way, I am new to the list. I've been reading
the posts and haven't introduced myself yet, so I will
now.

I'm Shelly. My family ... husband Scott, and sons
Andrew (12) and Will (1.5) ... and I live in NW
Illinois. We began homeschooling a year ago after we
pulled Andrew out of school at the end of 5th grade.
Somewhere in the middle of the first year, we chucked
the "school at home" idea and have been unschooling
ever since.

I was fortunate enough to inherit a big stack of GWS
magazines when a woman from our homeschooling group
moved to Belgium, and reading them and "The Teenage
Liberation Handbook" pretty much convinced us that
unschooling is the way for us to go.

I enjoy organic gardening, cooking and baking, sewing,
textile arts, reading, and lots of other things I have
absolutely no time for :)

I was glad to find this group. I've enjoyed the posts
and hope to learn a lot and even share some of our
experiences here.

Recipesource.com (previousl Berkeley's SOAR website)
IS a great recipe site. I also like verybestmeals.com,
because you can search by ingredient, so if you have
something hanging out in your fridge in "use it or
lose it" condition, you can find recipes for it.
