public HS, and she's all piaget-this and that. from
the beginning with breastfeeding, her reactions have
indicated that she is threatened by my choices when
they differ from hers. I understand this; it's pretty
obvious that I think my choices are better, otherwise
I'd be doing what she did! but understanding this
doesn't help ease the tension when she asks questions
or makes pronouncements... she's "prickly" when we
disagree and the conversation can't go much of
anywhere when she locks down at the slightest conflict
(gee, wonder where I learned to avoid conflict at all
costs! lol). ah, well.

another belly laugh. that's two in a row. you know this is weird.
since i've been de/unschooling, i've noticed how much more myself i
feel and happier. only a month ago i was feeling pretty crazy and
uncomfortably over-focused or something --like i couldn't see or feel
as the situation(s) naturally and normally would call for. I knew i
was in overkill mode but i ignored it.
