Our Trip

Here is our trip plans. I'd love to meet with you, Peggy, either in
Flagstaff (we'll definately camp there that night if you will be there )
or in Winslow. Also, Sandra and Joan, can we find a time to meet? This
sounds so exciting, and long. Just the girls and I.
Itenerary:
Wednesday, August 13, 2003Leave Home, go to Elizabeths house.
5 hours, 254 miles.
Thursday, August 14, 2003
Visit with Elizabeth, pack for Sacramento, plan conference.
Friday, August 15, 2003
Leave early, by 7:30, to go to Sacramento. Stop in Lodi for lunch with
friends and then on to the Conference Hotel,
3 ½ hours to Lodi, 176 miles
40 min to hotel from Lodi, 37 ¼ miles

Sacramento, CA 95815, Phone (800) 333-3333 or (916) 922-2020 , Room will
be under the name of Elizabeth Schroeder, not my name. Conference is
from Friday at 5:30 until Sunday at about the same time. Cell phone
should also work but during sessions I may or may not answer.
Sunday, August 17th, go to Darons house to spend the night.
Monday, August 18th, Brunch with Hardy clan and then to Donner Pass,
camping.
From Sacramento, Truckee is 1 hour 40 min. or 98 miles.
Tuesday, August 19th, 2003, Donner Pass, all day.
Wednesday, August 20th, Leave early am, by 8:00am, and drive to Vegas if
possible, have not reserved anything in Vegas, just in case we dont
make it all the way there.
Truckee to Bishop is 5 hours, 20 minutes, or 208 miles. Bishop to Vegas
is 6 hours 25 minutes or 266 miles. Total is 11 hours, 45 minutes, or
474 miles.
Thursday, August 21st, stay in Vegas
Friday, August 22nd, Leave Vegas very early, 8:00am, and go to Winslow
Arizona to Ruins. HOMOLOVI RUINS STATE PARK
Las Vegas to Winslow is 5 hours 52 minutes or 308 miles.
The park is located 3 miles northeast of Winslow. Take I-40 to Exit 257,
then go 1.3 miles north on Highway 87. The park consists of a campground
with, restrooms and Visitor Center. Handicap Accessible. For more

Friday, August 22, Leave Homolovi Ruins and go to Holbrook, if possible
take side road through petrified forest, Winslow to Holbrook is 37
minutes of 34 miles. Then go to Alb, then to Jemez, well probably visit
one ruin before it gets hot this morning, with the other one being
visited the night before.
Holbrook to Alb. Is 4 hours, or 233 miles, Alb to Jemez is 77 miles, 1 ½
hours.

Sunday, August 24, Jemez
Monday, August 25th, Jemez, probably Bandalier
Tuesday, August 26, Jemez,
Wednesday, August 27th Jemez,
Thursday, August 28th, Leave Jemez and go to El Moro and camp.
Jemez to El Moro is about 4 ½ hours, or 190 miles.
Friday, August 29th Leave El Moro and go to Flagstaff maybe to camp or
stop in hotel off 40.
El Moro to Flagstaff is about 4 hours, or 220 miles
Saturday, August 30th, Leave hotel/flagstaff and arrive home, from
flagstaff to home is 7 ½ hours or 466 miles.
Total, 18 days or 2515 miles, not counting driving around miles.
