Sounds like a medieval drink that would knock ya flat on your butt!! :)
OK, maybe that's wishful thinking.

In the Army we made "GROG" At least that is what I think it was called.
Mixture of alcohol and other things not supposed to be in a drink.
Mustard...pickle juice and all sorts of other stuff. YUCK. and to be swigged from an army
boot. Oh my younger days. LOL

Or a Klingon drink. LOL! The message boards have been quite busy from
where I'm sitting too. Not a disaster yet, that I can see, but I'm not
caught up yet either. ;-)

I thought that was blood wine... Gach is a Klingon delicacy, though; they
use earthworms for the props.

Has anyone mentioned "glogg" yet? The swedish hot wine punch served at
Christmas?

I'm guessing that by now someone has answered the 'what is Grok' question. If not, tho, the word is used in a book called Stranger in a Strange Land, by Robert Heinlein and, loosely translated/explained, means to think, tho it's really somewhat more complicated than that in the context used in the book. Thanks for the question -- it reminds me that I've been meaning to re-read Stranger...
