a musical written by homeschoolers, in Minneapolis
[email protected]
Susan/susan@... has found herself unable to post to this list, and
asked me to send this. This group is really, really good so if any of you
are in range REALLY go and see. I miss Keith working in Minnesota just
because we got to meet these folks and hang out with them sometimes.
------
Theatrix, Homeschool Community Theater, is delighted to present its
16th production, an original musical version of Alice In Wonderland on
Thursday, April 24, at 2:00 p.m.; Friday & Saturday, April 25-26, at
7:00 p.m.; and Thursday, Friday and Saturday, May 1-3 at 7:00 p.m.
This colorful, entertaining adaptation of the enchanting children's
classic by Lewis Carroll will be presented at the Hobart Stage (46th
Street & Blaisdell Avenue South) in Minneapolis. Tickets for reserved
seats ($4.00 for 16 and younger and $7.50 for adults) can be ordered
by calling 612-827-5995. For more information contact Theatrix at
www.theatrix.org. Don't miss it! Also watch for Theatrix at the
Minnesota Fringe Festival in August.
An interesting note:
The song Kira wrote for the Mad Hatter's tea party scene, also the
show's theme song, has a rather unschooly chorus! It goes like this:
Pay no heed to your head.
Never mind your mind.
For if you're overly concerned
With what you have and have not learned,
You're going to waste some precious time

Well, I forwarded this onto the Minnesota unschooling list, but I didn't think there were other close enough people here, besides me and Susan! I wonder why she has been unable to post?
Anyone want to go? Susan, I'm playing with driving on down, its about 4 hours. Just trying to figure out the dates. And where I'm staying and all that. I think my Kyra would like the play. As well as the rest of my fam.
