What are some of the books you would recommend on unschooling to a
person who is new to it?
Thanks!

Frank Smith's, "The Book of Learning and Forgetting." (Not a book about
unschooling, but about learning and fantastic for understanding
unschooling.)

Ann Lahrson-Fischer's "Fundamentals of Homeschooling: Notes on
Successful Family Living."

Mary Griffith's, "The Unschooling Handbook : How to Use the Whole World
As Your Child's Classroom."

Valerie Fitzenreiter's, "The Unprocessed Child: Living Without School."

Grace Llewelyn's, "The Teenage Liberation Handbook: How to Quit School
and Get a Real Life and Education."

John Holt's, "Learning All the Time."

Sandra Dodd's website at www.sandradodd.com/unschooling

Lillian Jones' website at www.besthomeschooling.org also has a lot of
articles by many different people about unschooling.

Not an unschooling book, though. (Just so the person asking knows.)

John Gatto's "Dumbing Us Down" is a short collection of speeches and
gives a good feeling for some of the serious consequences to
schoolishness. Can help someone give up some of their school urges.
