Katherine Linnet Holford

My dear friends throughout the Knowne World. The most excellent lady, Baroness Katherine Linnet Holford, OL, OP, et al. passed from this world at 12:30 pm on March 26 with me at her side. It was a sudden worsening of ongoing health problems. I am grief stricken to my core.

On March 26th, 2020 Her Excellency Katherine Linnet Holford passed from this life. She was a territorial Baroness of Caerthe, a Laurel, a Pelican, a holder of awards too numerous to mention, and Abbess to St. Marys Abbey household. Her list of dear friends is very long, her influence on many people was boundless, her death has left a hole in the universe that will never be filled for those of us who loved her.

We knew each other for over 40 years, since before we had any children. We met and knew each others' babies, grown to children and adults, over the years. The youngest of them all said a couple of days ago that Kate was "soft and smart."

She was.

I could say other good things about her, but she was soft and she was smart.

I'm glad I got to sing with her, eat food she made, laugh with her, hear stories about Japan... My life is better because I knew her.

Baroness Katherine Linnet Holford, OP, OL, aka Mistress Kate passed away. She is one of my heroes. She spoke for me as a Laurel in my Pelican ceremony. She made scones for me.

She was a diminutive giant in the Outlands.

I don't know what to write. I am grieving.

May this memory lessen grief: Baroness Katherine sits in state at the first court of the brand new Kingdom of the Outlands.
