- case of a woman accused of having killed her husband, but who has been threatened/harrassed continuously (central to one show, in passing in another)
- young man whose father has died, taken in by a rural grandfather, who identifies him as a family member
- romantic kiss, thwarted (by a seatbelt in "...Sleeping" and by a sun visor in "...Voice")
- car accident wasn't really the cause of death
- organ transplant ethics / disappointment (availability lost)
