Youngest kidlet saw a picture of an ?espilliered (o.k., so I severly flunk
spelling but that's sorta how it is pronounced) apple tree and now she
wants to do one on the fence behind our garden area (she is the strawberry
and pea queen of our garden <g>). Has anyone ever done this to any trees??

http://ag.arizona.edu/pubs/garden/mg/pruning/other.html It is all
about pruning fruit trees, and there is a section on an espalier system.
I've never espaliered trees before, but it looks very interesting. I hope
