Just 'cause I'd hate for you to sit there wondering for the rest of your
life <g>, here's our reason for one joint email account:

I'm the only one who ever reads the durn stuff. Lots of people email my
husband stuff at home, and I read it and forward anything he'd actually care
about to his work email account, which he actually reads. Often people
email things to him that really should have come to me anyway -- calendar
stuff would be a good example of that.

So we share a mailbox. I'm basically lazy and don't feel like checking two
email accounts. Does that make you feel any better? <g>

Pretty much the reason we do it too. Though we both read the
e-mail and have eleventy dozen e-ddresses though various
webpages, it is just easier to run it through one clearing house.
Most of the approximately 700 messages that come in every day are
automatically sorted into the right folder - most of the folks we
write to hear only from one or the other of us. Our son and
D-i-L have the same setup - it never occurred to me that it would
be worth the effort to maintain separate e-dresses; it is enough
trouble to balance 2 checkbooks.
